BROTHERS ORGANIZING LEADERS OF TOMORROW
The Reach out and Engage Next-gen Electrical Workers (RENEW) program is a nationwide initiative created by the IBEW in 2015, dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for IBEW Electricians who are under 35 years old to develop the skills necessary to become active in the union and play a role in shaping the future within the electrical industry. BOLT, which stands for "Brothers Organizing Leaders of Tomorrow" is the name of the IBEW Local Union 379 RENEW Chapter which has been in place for two years. Our mission is to mentor our younger members to become educated and active in the local union, and to also be more successful in the field. BOLT strives to advance our purpose and create active union members by involving ourselves in community and charity events, fundraisers, political actions, and by fostering realtionships with our sister locals. BOLT 379 holds its meetings on the second Monday of every month at 4:30, just before the General Union Meeting which starts at 6pm. Everyone and anyone who works for an IBEW signatory contractor is welcome to come! Check here or our Facebook page here! Call Anna Ward at 704-550-1132 if you have any questions or want to get involved. Please be aware that all are invited, but only those who are under 35 and members of BOLT can vote!
