IBEW Local 379 Paycheck Protection Benefits—You Must Take Action To Get Protected

There are only a few more weeks left to enroll in Local 379’s Disability and Life Benefits; enrollment ends 6/30/2021.  These coverages help you get paid if you are unable to work due to an injury, illness, or death! 

ILLNESSES/INJURIES HAPPEN! – Your lifestyle outside of work can prevent you from earning your paycheck and causing a financial disaster.

• What’s Covered? All illnesses & injuries resulting from; Car Accidents, Side Jobs/Work, Sports, Traveling, Fishing, Biking, Hunting, Boating, Water Skiing, Motorcycling, Home Improvements, Hobbies, Skiing, etc.

Members can enroll without any medical tests or questions in: Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Life Insurance with AD&D.  These benefits have already paid over $1.5MM in benefits to other IBEW Members and their loved ones within our region in just 18 months.

Without these new Benefits, if you can’t, work you’ll experience an 80% deficit from your normal weekly paycheck.  Did you know:

• You ONLY receive a $250 Short-Term Disability benefit for 26 weeks (less taxes).
• NO Long-Term Disability benefits are provided if you’re seriously ill or injured.   
• Minimal Life Insurance benefit through the ‘Death Benefit Fund’ might cover burial expenses (if you’re participating & it would be taxed).
