|
Attention CE's, the updated version 2.0 of the CE-CW Policy has been released and has a few changes. The main change is now a CE-3, who has only every been a CE-3 (this person cannot have upgraded from a CE-2 to a CE-3), can test (1) one time with the IBEW LU 379 Examining Board by taking the 10th District JW exam. If he/she meets all the requirements, and pass the exam they will be moved to the classification of JW. If he/she fails the 10th District exam, they must receive training through CETI (Carolinas Electrical Training Institute) / Apprenticeship and test to JW through Craft Certification. This change was added to section V subsection E in version 2.0 of the CE-CW Policy.
For those qualifying by having already in hand 14,000 verified hours, OSHA-10, NFPA-70E, First Aid / CPR, Code of Excellence, 90 days of attendance, with a 379 Union contractor, may make application to take the 10th District Exam with Eddie Byrams (ebyrams@ibew379.org) or (704-455-4595 EXT 206).
