Here's how you join IBEW Local Union 379...

If you have been working for an IBEW Contractor and want to join IBEW Local Union 379, please follow these directions:

• You can come to one of our (3) locations and join in person. The cost is $131.00 for a CE/CW/App/Groundman and that will pay (2) months' dues and get the local death benefit started.

• If you are a JW or JL (Journeyman Wireman or Lineman), your cost will be $151.00 and that will pay (2) months' dues and get the local death benefit started.

Once you have joined, it will be up to you to pay your monthly dues, and you can do this by (phone, cash, check, online or mail).

By becoming a member, you will have access to our monthly meetings, monthly newsletter, Union Plus, Carolina Telco Credit Union, I.O. pension, I.O. life insurance policy, American Income Life $4,000 life insurance and many more benefits as a member of the IBEW.

The local death benefit is a program that when any member dies, then all members pay $5.00 to that person's beneficiary.

If you have not worked for an IBEW contractor and have commercial or industrial electrical experience, please call Viviana at 704-455-4595 EXT 210. Viviana will work with you to come in and speak with an organizer to see how you can come to work with us. 

If you have no electrical experience, your best path would be to fill out an application for our apprenticeship (CETI) Carolinas Electrical Training Insitute.
